Christingle orange Christingle Service, Sunday 10th January 2010 - The orange represents the world and the red ribbon around it represents the blood of Jesus.  The sweets on the four cocktail sticks represent the fruits of the earth and the four seasons.  The lighted candle represents Christ, the light of the world.

Carols at the Spotted Cow, Hunston - 23rd December 2009.

The carol service at the Spotted Cow, Hunston has quickly become an annual tradition.  More people than ever turned out to tell the story of the birth of Jesus through the Carols.  These pictures and short video clip give some idea of the fun had by all.   Mulled wine and mince pies were kindly supplied by the hosts and kept the energy levels up through the evening.

Wishing Phyllis farewell - 20th December 2009

Phyllis Davidson is seen here with some members of the St Stephen's congregation at her last regular Sunday morning service.  Phyllis has recently decided to move and live closer to her family.  Phyllis has been attending St Stephens for many years. We wish Phyllis and her family all the very best for the future and she will be remembered in our prayers.

The Sunday School children and leaders presented the Nativity story during the family communion service.  The congregation were treated to a delightful re-telling of the story before the children processed and laid their nativity figures on the font which had been transformed into a Bethlehem scene.  Please click on the picture to follow the story and see close up pictures of their work.

Decorating the Christmas Tree , at St Stephens - 13th December 2009

Members of St Stephen's church are seen here decorating the very large Christmas Tree.  The tree has been very kindly donated each year, by a local family who have had many years of association with the church.   Last year we sought donations of additional Christmas decorations.  Many responded, and the tree can be seen here resplendent in the new decorations.

Our thanks and appreciation go to all who donated and worked so hard to make St Stephen's Church look so splendid.
